Calling All Alumni - New Utrecht Plans 100th Birthday

The Fall of 2015 marks the centennial of New Utrecht High School. Believe it or not, that does not allow a lot of time to start planning a year of festivities. We want to kick start The Alumni Association. Please write/e-mail me at the school with names, addresses, updated info of any kind that you think we should know. We are looking to form committees, and need your support. From the 1920's thru the 1940's New Utrecht was the school of "10,000 girls, 10,000 boys". Let's get together for the greatest party ever, and showing of school spirit. Contact Aldo Iemma-Head of Guidance/Norman Ringle-Librarian 718-232-2500,or bookme1957@aol.com

New Utrecht Digitization To Start Again!

New Utrecht High School is still the first school in The City of New York to digitize its Student Records. After a year off we are resuming work in March,2010. To date we have preserved forever your records from 1954-2007. We are in the process of finishing 1941-53. When done, the records are sent for microfilming, conversion to CD's and loaded into a data base in our records office here at school. To date we have preserved over 70,000 records. Funding is always an issue. We would gladly accept any offering. Please contact me, Norman Ringle-Librarian/Archivist at the school. 718-232-2500 x140. A little history,"232" is still really "Beachview",our original exchange, ask your parents...!!lol
